From Concerts to Contests - Here we GO!

Having settled our nerves and dusted off the cobwebs with a performance at the Geilsland Hall in Beith the band are now ready to take the next step towards normality.

It's contest time!

We are gearing up to take part in the Borders Entertainment competition, held on Saturday 6th November in Bucchleuch Hall, Langholm. This is an event the band regularly enjoy taking part in, and will see us perform an 'own choice' selection of music in this entertainment contest, competing against no less than eleven other bands from across Scotland!

It will also be the first outing for the band for the latest band member and new addition to our percussion team - Ken Stewart. Ken has recently started attending rehearsals having seen our adverts online and has found his sticks, feet, rhythm and whatever else was needed in no time at all! The band is delighted to welcome Ken to the fold and we hope that this first outing will be a successful one...

With only a few rehearsals remaining it's all eyes on Lewis during our Tuesday & Thursday night rehearsals. Follow along on our Facebook Page on November 6th to stay up to date with our progress in the competition - and our journey there. After all, we are developing a bit of a reputation for having eventful journeys to contests…

The band are accepting enquiries from players of all brass instruments and percussionists at present, as well as anyone from the local community who would be interested in non-playing opportunities to support the charity and organisations wider activities in the local area!
