Happy New Year! With a Polar Twist…

With spirits high, under sunny skies, the band started the year as we mean to continue - sounding great and entertaining the community for the 2022 Polar Plunge at Irvine Beach Park!

Organised by the Coastwatch Scotlands Irvine station, the event is immensely popular with the local community, with hundreds of people attending to take the plunge in the chilly winter waters of Irvine Beach Park, with many raising funds for various charities. The Coastwatch team were on hand to keep everyone safe and help warm people up after their dip with some warm soup. The band were entertaining those not quite brave enough to take the plunge with a variety of festive favourites! Playing a brass instrument was not enough for one of our group however, with Margo braving the freezing waves to start her new year off in style, raising some money for charity in the process - well done Margo!

It's great to see people coming together again for a new year. We hope that 2022 is an enjoyable and happy new year for everyone!
